Director/Photographer Rob Palmer and Stylist Emma Elizabeth were rewarded recently when shooting for Qantas Business Rewards.   The campaign, via our friends at Mercer Bell, showcases innovative small businesses Australia-wide who ‘do things differently’.  Businesses like Hartshorn Distillery in Tasmania, where vodka is made from sheep’s whey and Conscious Swimwear in Sydney, who produce kids swimwear from discarded fishing nets.

To capture the essence of their business we travelled to meet Ryan Hartshorn and his family (human and sheep-shaped) in Birch’s Bay, Tasmania.  Blessed with beautiful weather and very cooperative talent (baaaaaa) we were able to capture a beautiful suite of portrait and landscape imagery plus motion for both short and long-form collateral.

Returning to Sydney, Emma Elizabeth worked tirelessly to source the perfect boat, net and accoutrements to set up an epic scene on our sandy shores that beautifully encapsulates the Conscious Swim business practice.

These two small businesses blew our minds with their boundary pushing ways to re-purpose waste into something beautiful.  We loved working on this brief with such creative souls.   Bring on Phase 2!!
