Photographer Jem Cresswell has been having a whale of a time collaborating with the Australian Museum to promote their immersive exhibit Whales Tohorā. Jem’s extraordinary whale images are the face of the exhibition marketing collateral and can be seen city wide on masts, banners, buses and the Museum exterior itself.
These gentle giants are old friends of Jem’s, who spends several months a year documenting them for his awe-inspiring personal series. Be sure to check out the exhibit which presents the latest cetacean research and explores the diversity, biology and adaptation of whales to life in our oceans, as well as celebrating their role in South Pacific Islanders’ rich cultural history. The exhibition will be running for the next 5 months and was created by the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
